CMM joined in a new Inria Chile scientific journey

A new version of the Inria Chile scientific journey was organized in the PUC Innovation Center on August 18th 2015. The event showed different lines of collaborative research that are being developed by the eight Inria Chile’s project teams.

“This meeting was useful to catch up with many researches of the scientific teams, to generate interaction between them, and to see the advances of their work”, said Héctor Ramírez, CMM researcher and chairman of the workshop.

A group of researchers at Center of Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of Universidad de Chile participated in the workshop. CMM’s Director, Alejandro Jofré, was one of them. He gave the talk ‘Cost-minimizing mechanisms for a wholesale electricity market game’, which was devoted to the study of pricing mechanisms of interconnected electric markets and its consequences to the Chilean electricity market.

Other speakers were Claude Puech, Director of Inria Chile; Soledad Torres, professor at Universidad de Valparaíso; Maximiliano Olivares, engineer of the project-team Bioprocess y Natural Resources Management of Inria Chile – CMM; Vincent Acary, Inria Chile researcher; and Eduardo Moreno, professor at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
