Entrepreneurship and innovation award will recognize legacy of CMM researcher Felipe Álvarez

OpenLab announced the creation of Felipe Álvarez Award. The prize recognizes people and organizations that encourage the innovation and the entrepreneurship culture in universities, professional institutes, and centers for technical formation. It acknowledges the life, work, and legacy of the researcher from the Center for Mathematical Modeling at Universidad de Chile and former deputy dean of the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.

The first version has five categories: Students, Professionals, Scholars, Academic Program, and Student Entrepreneurship with a high societal impact.

Interested candidates must be associated to a higher education institution and must apply at www.premiofelipealvarez.com. The deadline is August 1st, 11.59 pm.

The jury will assess the value organizations and people share with the society, their uniqueness and originality, and their capacity to motivate and inspire others members of the innovation and entrepreneurship national ecosystem.

The ceremony award will be on August 31st. Also, OpenLab will publish an annual book with the finalist cases. The publication will be delivered to higher education institutions, business incubators and accelerators, and public agencies.

Given this is an OpenLab’s initiative, nobody related to this project can apply.
