Universidad de Chile honors CMM researchers on its 175th anniversary

As part of the Universidad de Chile’s 175th anniversary celebrations, four researchers from the Center for Mathematical Modeling were awarded at ceremonies held at Casa Central.

University’s President Ennio Vivaldi acknowledged the contribution in innovation made by Salomé Martinez, director of the strategic area of Education at CMM.

CMM Director Alejandro Maass, Manuel del Pino, and Juan Diego Dávila were honored by their ISI-WOS publications in journals ranked in the top 6% of the associated discipline according to impact factor. Dávila was also awarded for his Fondecyt project.

The university also recognized the new doctors. Matías Godoy, Nicolás Hernández, Richard Lang, Cristian Montoya, Héctor Olivero, Víctor Riquelme, Alejandro Rojas, Viviana Solano, Emilio Vilches, Sebastián Zamorano, and Natalia Ruiz, who works in the ARPA initiative, were honored after finishing the PhD in Engineering Sciences with a mention in Mathematical Modeling, lectured by CMM and Mathematical Engineering Department (DIM).
