CMM received the support of the Conicyt Associative Research Program for the next three years

The Associative Research Program (PIA, because of its spanish acronym) of Conicyt reported in its website it will support to the Universidad de Chile Center for Mathematical Modeling and other seven centers of excellence for the next three years, until 2021.

The Program seeks to contribute to the consolidation of their operation after receiving the support of Conicyt. The centers that applied to the call had the support of the Basal Financing Program and were in the tenth year of execution. The projects seek to consolidate the activities and objectives defined in recent years to contribute to the country’s scientific and technological innovation.

“This instrument not only confirms the quality of the center’s work: it also provides them with resources they need to deepen their work, in the wake of basal funds. Conicyt reaffirms its commitment to the development of the associative research, a tool that encourages and accelerates the advancement of science. This while we wait for the implementation of a structure that will comes with the new policies on science,” explained PIA director Isabel Meneses.
