The laboratory works mainly on biophysical and mathematical modeling in biomedical sciences. Our primary research goal is to develop numerical technologies to improve medical diagnosis in terms of accuracy, robustness and patients’ safety. The application focus are cardiovascular pathologies, the world’s leading cause of death.
Our methodological developments involve differential equations (fluid dynamics, electrophysiology), inverse problems (geared to medical image analysis and reconstruction) and numerical analysis.
