The organization of this hybrid workshop is a joint effort of the Millennium Nucleus For Applied Control And Inverse Problems (ACIP), the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM-U. de Chile) and Millennium Institute for Intelligent Healthcare Engineering (iHEALTH).
The objective is to put together the state of the art of different methodologies of inverse problems with real applications in astronomical instrumentation, medical imaging and neuroestimulation, and promote the synergies to share scientific and algorithmic methods in inverse problems.

Resumen en español
IPMAS2023 por su tercera vez consecutiva, organizado en conjunto por el Centro de Modelamiento Matemático (CMM), el Instituto Milenio iHealth y el Núcleo Milenio ACIP, reúne a matemáticos, ingenieros, astrónomos y biomédicos en torno a problemáticas relacionadas con problemas inversos y de control en ecuaciones en derivadas parciales, inteligencia artificial y sus aplicaciones.
En esta versión que se realizará los días 10, 11 y 12 de enero habrán 12 charlas internacionales organizadas en tres días temáticos, el primero dedicado a la óptica adaptativa e instrumentación astronómica, el segundo a imágenes biomédicas y el tercero a la neuroestimulación.
Además se impartirán 2 minicursos, uno de redes neuronales con información física y otro de introducción a los problemas inversos, ambos con talleres prácticos en python.
Como novedad, habrá además 2 charlas de difusión presenciales orientadas a estudiantes: la primera “Ciencia y narración en cómics” el martes 10 a las 16:15 hrs. por Constanza Rojas-Molina del Departamento de Matemáticas, CY Cergy Paris Université y la segunda el jueves 12 de enero a las 16:15 hrs. “Inteligencia artificial con impacto social” por Violeta Chang del Departamento de Ing. Informática, Usach y miembro de la Asociación Chilena de Mujeres en IA.
