Postdoctoral Position 2024 at CMM – Educational Technology — CLOSED

The Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of the University of Chile invites applications for one postdoctoral position in Educational Technology or related subjects. CMM is one of the leading mathematical research institutions in Latin America, developing both theoretical and applied lines of research. For more information see: https://www.cmm.uchile.cl

Ideal candidates should show outstanding research and independent work potential and have interests aligned with the Education line of research and development associated with the ARPA Initiative (https://www.arpa.uchile.cl). In particular, candidates active in or willing to work on the following topics are encouraged to apply:

  1. Digital abilities in secondary and postsecondary technical education.
  2. Teaching and learning of computational thinking in elementary, middle and high school.
  3. Professional development for computational thinking and digital abilities

The position is available for individuals who obtained a PhD no earlier than April 2019. Spanish language skills are not required, but desirable. The duration of the position is of one year; and is renewable for up to one additional year. The starting date is flexible, but preferably no before than April 2024 and no later than August 2024. The position is in a research and development capacity, does not carry teaching responsibilities (although teaching opportunities may be available) and is held at the CMM’s base at the University of Chile located in Santiago. The gross monthly salary is $2,000,000 CLP. Basic support for research activity is provided, including travel expenses. In addition, candidates can apply to government funding programs for further support.
