June 24 to June 28, 2024
Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The goal of this meeting is to gather researchers interested in the study of elliptic and parabolic partial differential equations via techniques which find their roots in the Maximum Principle.
The maximum principle is a fundamental tool in the theory of elliptic and parabolic PDE, and stands at the base of the existence and regularity theory of these equations. Since the 1950s this field has been seeing spectacular advances, and many of the great PDE specialists have made it their area of work.
This conference will be in spirit a sequel to the conferences Positivity: a key to fully-nonlinear equations (Vietri 2010) and Mostly Maximum Principle (Roma 2012, Agropoli 2015, Banff 2017 and Cortona 2022).
The Mostly Maximum Principle – 5th edition will take place at the Centro Técnico Científico, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil, from June 24 to June 28, 2024.
