Operations research is a discipline that creates analytical methods and strategies for addressing complex real-world challenges. This seminar will present several research studies highlighting the difficulties encountered across various sectors and the innovative solutions implemented to overcome them. By examining case studies from Chile and other world regions, we aim to enhance our understanding of the importance of operations research and its potential to improve decision-making efficiency and effectiveness in diverse contexts. We invite you to join us for discussions on impactful solutions emerging from this vital field and explore how they can be applied and transferred to address local and global issues.
The Operations Research: Case studies and real-world applications seminar will take place at the John Von Neumann Seminar Room of the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM), Universidad de Chile, on April 24, 2025.
