“Santiago 2050, visión de Región” opens second registration period

For citizen sessions on Tuesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 24.

The initiative, which seeks to bring together as many citizens as possible who want to give their opinion on how they imagine the Metropolitan Region between now and 2050, will be open for registration until August 20. The project, promoted by the Government of Santiago and the University of Chile, will be carried out in two completely virtual days.

This Wednesday, August 16, begins the second stage of registration for all citizens who want to contribute to develop the vision of the Metropolitan Region towards 2050, a project of the Government of Santiago and the University of Chile –developed at the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM)– which will take place on Tuesday August 22 and Thursday August 24 virtually.

After a first call for registration, this second stage will seek to delve deeper into the territories and citizenship so that all ages, genders, socioeconomic and educational levels, and communes are represented in “Santiago 2050, vision of Region”. The participants for this deliberation will be selected randomly.

To register they must enter the platform https://deliberachile.cl/, where they must fill out a form. Those selected will participate in this activity to be held digitally on Tuesday August 22 and Thursday August 24 between 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm.

During these days, there will be working groups of six to 10 people each, representative of the Metropolitan Region, and, gathered digitally, will deliberate on how they project the region and thus contribute to the creation of public policies that are sustainable, healthy, dynamic and inclusive.

For more information, the community is invited to visit the social networks of the Government of Santiago and the University of Chile, platforms that will be updated permanently.
