The Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of the University of Chile, the Tara Ocean Foundation, and the Institut Jean Nicod (ENS/EHESS/CNRS) cordially invite you to participate in the COP16 side event New ideas based on omics-sciences, mathematical modeling and remote sensing for ocean conservation tools.
This event focuses on the urgent need to create innovative strategies to protect and conserve marine ecosystems. Participants will explore new science-based approaches for ocean conservation tools, emphasizing the importance of understanding the ocean’s complexity and dynamics, from an innovative and little-talked-about perspective. The discussions will align with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), with new proposals for future conservation tools and policy recommendations.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. (UTC -5, local time) at the Chile Pavillion of the Blue Zone of the COP16 Colombia conference, which will take place at Centro de Eventos Valle del Pacífico in Cali, Colombia.
