Alejandro Maass premio Nacional de Ciencias 2025

Maass was born in Santiago on November 11, 1965. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Chile and a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Aix-Marseille in France.

A professor at the University of Chile since 1994, he obtained the rank of full professor in 2006. He is also a principal investigator at the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) and a member of the Millennium Institute, the Center for Genome Regulation (CRG). His distinguished professional career includes serving as a member of the Open Data Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation; and he has also worked with organizations such as Corfo and ANID.
