Bio:
Cristóbal Bertoglio earned his Diploma and M.Sc. degrees in Structural Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2007, and later in 2012 his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the French Institute for Computer Science (INRIA). After almost 3 years postdoctoral experience at the Technical University of Munich, he currently holds a researcher position at the Center for Mathematical Modeling at Universidad de Chile. Here he leads the Numerical Biomedicine Laboratory, with current focus on the inverse modeling of blood flows based on magnetic resonance images and the Navier-Stokes Equations.
