CMM researchers at U. de Concepción in mathematics rankings

Raimund Bürger and Gabriel Gatica appear in the second version of the ranking for Chile of scientists in the field of mathematics published by the portal Research.com.

 

Research.com, an academic platform that produces rankings of the main conferences, journals, universities and scientists by subject, published the 2023 Edition of its Ranking of Best Scientists in the field of Mathematics.

The ranking for Chile of the emerging platform again this year highlighted Professors Raimund Bürger and Gabriel Gatica, researchers at the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) and professors at the Universidad de Concepción. Both researchers had already been highlighted in the 2022 ranking.

As reported by Research.com, this second edition of the ranking of the best scientists in the field of Mathematics is based on consolidated data from various data sources, such as OpenAlex and CrossRef, with bibliometric data —to estimate citation-based metrics— collected on December 21, 2022. Ranking position is based on a scientist’s D-index (Discipline H-index), which only includes papers and citation values for an examined discipline.
