Applied Research

The Center for Mathematical Modeling has defined five strategic areas where it focuses its research: CMM MiningCMM Bio & Health, CMM EducationCMM Resource Management and CMM Data & HPC. These areas aggregate the applied research developed in different CMM laboratories and initiatives. Moreover, for providing to industrial, educational and public sectors in Chile of a modern computing infrastructure, the Center leads the National Laboratory for High Performance Computing (NLHPC) project. This national lab is a key element to the development of several applied research projects at CMM and other centers along the country. Only a few initiatives are not included in these new clusters, an important one concerns the interaction with physicists: the CMM Laboratory on Localized Patterns.
