This laboratory has been created to consolidate a multidisciplinary team focused on providing scientific decision-making support on important investment plans elaborated by national mining enterprises.
Mathematical modeling and the development of computational tools are being used to predict physical and chemical phenomena involved in certain processes such as in situ leaching, confined rock fragmentation, conversion and refinement of Copper in pyrometallurgy as well as the corresponding environmental aspects, and improve their operation.
