- Participants attending the Summer School or the Conference do not have to pay any registration fee.

Scope and Topics

Contributions are invited from all fields of Optimization and its applications. The topics of the Congress include:

Algorithms, numerical optimization and software.
Applications in engineering, operations research, economics, finance, network design, bioinformatics, statistics.
Calculus of variations and optimal control.
Discrete optimization.
Equilibrium programming.
Global and nonconvex optimization.
Linear, nonlinear and convex programming.
Mathematical economics and game theory.
Mixed integer-continuous programming.
Optimization and dynamical systems.
Robust optimization and stochastic programming.
Stability, sensitivity and perturbation analysis.
Variational inequalities.
Variational, nonsmooth and set-valued analysis.

Call for Contributed Abstracts

Contributions are solicited for presentation at the conference. Each accepted paper will be allotted a 35-minutes talk, including questions and discussion. The official language of the conference is English. Besides the title of the proposed contribution, a short abstract (of at most 200 words) is also required.

Deadline to propose a contribution is September 30, 2004. Acceptance or refusal notice to authors will be given by October 15, 2004.
